Derek Johnson brings over 30 years of executive leadership and operational expertise across aerospace, industrial manufacturing, global supply chain, and high-volume operating environments.
His background includes executive and operational leadership within Fortune 500 enterprises, with cross-sector experience spanning manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, food & beverage, aerospace and aviation, and technology.
While based in the Carolinas, JPSE takes on select engagements nationally for organizations facing high-consequence operational challenges.
Unlike traditional consultancies, JPSE operates from an operational perspective — and is equally capable of leading hands-on technical execution directly or governing specialized partner teams through it, depending on what the engagement requires. Where technical implementation is called for, JPSE either executes directly or directs partner teams under its governance to achieve defined operational outcomes.

JPSE maintains a clear distinction between operational governance and technical implementation:
Domain Focus: JPSE does not act as the direct implementation vendor for technical delivery—including custom software development, cloud migrations, or ERP deployments.
Governance & Strategy: Where technical interventions are required, JPSE defines the operational priority, scopes the requirement, and manages specialist delivery partners.
Accountability: JPSE remains accountable for the ultimate business outcome and operational performance, while the partner firm owns the technical execution.
